OffGridBox is a proud winner of the Solar X Startup Challenge, organised and funded by the International Solar Alliance. ISA supports Member Countries in increasing solar deployment as a means for bringing energy access, security, & transition towards low-carbon growth trajectories. The Solar X Startup Challenge selected innovative, cost-effective and scalable local solutions to persistent challenges of the solar sectors in ISA Member Countries.

Global Distributors Collective

We are a member of the Global Distributors Collective (GDC), a collective of last mile distributors around the world. GDC is dedicated to supporting and representing last mile distribution companies to help them reach unserved customers with life-changing products, and to developing the last mile distribution sector as a whole. Its purpose is to make last mile distribution the first priority so that life-changing products can be made affordable and available to all.

Not Impossible

At CES, we were honored to receive the The Not Impossible Ignition Award made Possible by National Grid and Hawaiian Electric Company. Not Impossible Awards not only demonstrated some of the most innovative and life changing technologies, but presented the work of hard working engineers through compelling and beautiful short documentaries. Not Impossible Labs and Not Impossible Foundation continue to work closely with our team for media support, technology partners, and funding.

The World Alliance For Efficient Solutions

The World Alliance for Efficient Solutions is an initiative created by the Solar Impulse Foundation, following the success of the first solar flight around the world. OffGridBox was selected the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label. The label is a new and credible symbol: a trademark, that carries the pioneering and innovative spirit of the Solar Impulse adventure. It is granted to solutions who meet high standards of both sustainability and profitability, through a strict assessment of technological feasibility, environmental and socio-economic benefit, and profitability.

Hello Tomorrow

We were a finalist at Hello Tomorrow 2017 in Paris, where we presented OffGridBox during the Energy Tech pitches. Hello Tomorrow was created in 2011 by a group of individuals convinced that science has the potential to change the world for the better, but that the traditional model of technology transfer to bring solutions from lab to market – and from idea to impact – could not rise to this challenge.

Start Up Energy Transition Award

OffGridBox got second prize at the 2018 Start Up Energy Transition Award Berlin, in the category SDG 7 Access to Energy. The Start Up Energy Transition Award (SET) is an international competition for start-ups worldwide who are working on ideas affecting the global energy transition and climate change. In the last seven years, the award has received more than 3,100 applications from over 100 countries.
